Oiling doesn't mean just poring oil in the scalp keeping it on and then a shampoo wash.
Which ever oil you are going for make it a bit lukewarm and then ask someone in your family to put oil in the roots of your till the tips and massage nicely so that some amount of the oil soaks into your scalp.
