On occasion, you may wish to add a gentle exfoliation and mask to your treatment. You can try the recipes here, or make up your own using ingredients you have in your own kitchen. Persons with oily skin may find exfoliation beneficial once or twice a week, while people with dry skin may wish to exfoliate only once a month.
We are now rebuilding all the threads and lost our complete thread on exfoliating. Will post the complete thread link ASAP.
Till then try the following:
Watch your sun intake. Use sunscreen and avoid over tanning. If you are using a makeup artist, let him/her know in advance if your skin colour has changed dramatically since your makeup trial. This way you avoid wearing makeup that is too light/dark for your face on the day of the wedding. Be wary of facials. You know your face best. If you've never had a facial before and you'd like to have one before the wedding, plan to go early. Some people may have severe reactions to facials so it's best to go for a test run a few months ahead of time.
One month before wedding stop all make up. But, if you cannot avoid it sometimes, then clean it off soon.
Take a spoonful sugar & juice of a lemon on your palm & rub them together with your palms till sugar melts. Honey can replace sugar, if available. It is more effective and this should be done daily for a month before wedding.
